VGR – Now An Official Toys for Tots Donation Drop Off Site

Starting November 1st, participants can drop off new, unwrapped toy donations for Toys for Tots to the Video Game Rescue retail store location. Donations will run through December 12th when the items will be picked up by Toys for Tots.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation in Jacksonville serves Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam and St. John’s counties. Children up to age 12 (sometimes 14 or 16 depending on the need and area) will be the recipients of your kind donation through our small, locally owned business. Though there is not a specific list of requested donations, Toys for Tots will accept any new and unwrapped gifts that the donor feels would be appropriate for this age range. They discourage realistic looking weapons and gifts of food. Previous gifts have included: sporting equipment, books, backpacks, purses, watches, wallets, bath gift sets, board games, radio control cars and trucks, skateboards and helmets, curling irons, hair straighteners, hair dryers

Video Game Rescue will also be hosting a Retro Gaming Night on Friday November 6th from 6-10pm to help raise even more donations for this organization. Admission to the event will be one new, unwrapped toy. Participants will be able to play retro consoles, board games and cosplay themed BINGO hosted by Actualized Arts.
